Economy Changes

Numerous changes have been made to the overall economy, includes additional stations to fill in more gaps, and additional predefined factories for the NPC’s to build later.

Mining

The mining and processing of raw materials has been changed. Now when you mine, either using an asteroid mine or via a ship, you will obtain the raw materials, Silicon Ore and Ore. These then need to be processed before they can be used by other factories.

Processing plants can take the raw materials and processing them into Silicon Wafers and Metal Alloys. These wares are then used by other factories like tech/weapons factories.

Processing planets can be found in many sectors, you can also buy construction kits to deploy your own. Processing the ores is more expensive and the processing plants on their own wont make a profit, but are needed for any other factories.

Economic Events

Across the universe there will be a number of events that can effect the production within a sector. There will usually be several events active at a time, these will increase or decrease the production of a certain ware within a sector for a set time.

You can view the effects the sectors have from the galaxy map or sectors in the encyclopaedia.

You can also find out about the events from the Bulletin Boards of the surrounding systems.

Additional Wares

There have been a number of additional wares added that can be used in the production of Luxury Goods.

CalceolariaCalceolaria is a common plant found on many planets which is often used as a herb in cooking. Due to the difficulties in harvesting the planet safely they are often only used in luxury foodstuff due to the increased cost.1564SHerbs & Spices
DiamondsDiamond is a solid form of the element carbon with its atoms arranged in a crystal structure called diamond cubic. Another solid form of carbon known as graphite is the chemically stable form of carbon at room temperature and pressure, but diamond is metastable and converts to it at a negligible rate under those conditions. Diamond has the highest hardness and thermal conductivity of any natural material, properties that are used in major industrial applications such as cutting and polishing tools. Diamonds are also often in demand for fancy Jewellery worn by the rich.5,29226XLJewellery
FruitsWhat is a fruit? In a botanical sense, a fruit is the fleshy or dry ripened ovary of a flowering plant, enclosing the seed or seeds. Fruits are commonly used in the creation of Fine Wine, due to the high demand of such Wine’s, these Fruits are also in high demand.285MFine Wine

MarbleMarble is a metamorphic rock consisting of carbonate minerals that recrystallize under the influence of heat, pressure and aqueous solutions, most commonly calcite or dolomite and has a crystalline texture of varying thickness. Marble is typically not foliated (layered), although there are exceptions. Marble is often used in the creation of Sculptures.85220XLSculptures
Metal AlloysMetal Alloys are the processed form of Ore that are used in a large range of technical goods. The ore is mined from asteroids, then processed to create the useable metal alloys.1286XLTech (Ore Replacement)
PlasticsPlastics are a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic materials that use polymers as a main ingredient. Their plasticity makes it possible for plastics to be moulded, extruded or pressed into solid objects of various shapes. This adaptability, plus a wide range of other properties, such as being lightweight, durable, flexible, and inexpensive to produce, has led to its widespread use.68810XLVideo Games

PolymersA polymer is a substance or material consisting of very large molecules called macromolecules, composed of many repeating subunits. Due to their broad spectrum of properties, both synthetic and natural polymers play essential and ubiquitous roles in everyday life. Polymers range from familiar synthetic plastics such as polystyrene to natural biopolymers such as DNA and proteins that are fundamental to biological structure and function. Polymers, both natural and synthetic, are created via polymerization of many small molecules, known as monomers. Their consequently large molecular mass, relative to small molecule compounds, produces unique physical properties including toughness, high elasticity, viscoelasticity, and a tendency to form amorphous and semicrystalline structures rather than crystals.64412XLPlastics
Priest PetalsFirst used by the Paranid, the Priest Petals are a common flower found on numerous planets, first used by the Priest Duke for its hallucinogenic effects. Although illegal in most civilised space it is still commonly traded and shipped to various planet as one of the most commonly used recreational narcotic.1,0521SNarcotics
